Alle denken, wenn sie an Deutschland denken, nur an Bayern. Deswegen werden wir alle nur als saufende Volltrottel bezeichnet -_-

people do or don’t do something because someone is forcing them. When are we going to choose to do or not do something just because we actually respect each other’s choices even when we don’t really understand them.? Has anyone of you ever thought about it? Reply to me when you have the time. I’ll appreciate it.

What’s so bad about the sensation of pain that it is so shunned? If someone is abused, the gravest consequence, in my mind, is the psychological damage, not physical. But in a situation of controlled pain prescription (I just made that up) it seems to be an OK solution. The person experiences brief discomfort; the discomfort fades; they remember the discomfort when faced with a decision. As long as it isn’t negatively shaping their self-image, etc. I don’t see the problem.

And I was irittated when I saw a Simpson episode whre a psychologistsay to Homer and March they should beat their children! That is so wrong. It where better to zensured this.,Because that is bad what this episode show us. The most of Europe has the opinion to don’t beat children and it illegal. And that is right!

To beat children is wrong. My parents never beat ne or my brother. It very unusually here to beat children. Since the late 60′s it is illegal to beat children in the school here in Switzerland and in other European countries. When I moved to a new place, a pupil was annoying the class. Then the teacher beat them pupil at the shoulder. This pupil went to told this his parents and did prpblems. A week later after this is happening, the teacher was fired. I believed this is the right way!

@AmersfoortTristan cause teachers and parents could abuse their “right” to beat children I guess

I am from the Netherlands and it’s illegal here too.. but it’s definitely something we should re-adopt as too many youngsters are causing trouble these days.
I got the occasional smack at home when I was misbehaving and it didn’t damage me one bit so why should it harm those troublemakers in today’s schools ?

I think it’s not even legal to touch your student in Germany, like if you say he should wait for the teacher and he leaves the room, the teacher may not hold him.
At least it’s what I’ve heard

I got beaten at home, but not at school. I must admit, it DID teach me something: How to better get away with breaking the rules and how to be a more convincing liar. ^__^
There is not one kid who gets beaten, and then decides, “hmm, that was unpleasant, I guess I’ll listen to my parents and teachers forevermore!”
I think it’s lazy parenting that doesn’t work. My nephew gets hit for something nearly everyday. His behavior has not improved. There are more efficient forms of discipline.

@Mindtfreak
its not exactly done for the sake of learning, per se… its more of just a discipline thing. Doesn’t matter what country you’re in, trying to keep order in a classroom is extremely difficult!
