+please do not lay a hand on the other child. I'm totally o.k with disciplining your own child however you see necessary but other people are very picky about how their children are disciplined. I would simply tell this other child every time he does something wrong that it wasn't acceptable and if he was going to continue to do it he wouldn't be allowed to play with my child anymore. Have a talk with the parent if eyebrows raise after you say something the first time. They may not mind that you do some extra parenting. Trust me some kids need it. I catch myself all the time saying "don't do that" to strangers kids. I haven't been reprimanded yet. Just do it tastefully. If you spank him though your looking for a lawsuit.

Usually what I do is tell the child that it isn't nice to hit and then ask the child to tell my child "sorry". If the child refuses to say sorry I will tell the parent what his/her child did to my own. If the parent isn't around or doesn't care I will suggust to their child to stay away from my child or go home. DO NOT PUNISH YOU CHILD FOR WHAT THE OTHER CHILD HAS DONE. [such as removing your child from what he/she is doing because the other wont leave her alone]

bring this to their attention get your child away from that child but if you have to tell that child NO YOU DONT HIT

You have every right to take that child by the hand and march him over to his mother and demand that she control her child and explain why if necessary.

Actually you cannot, it's quite obvious that the child is the result of what kind of parent she or he got. The best way is to avoid or refrain your child from playing with the said kid.

you have the right to protect your child from the actions other children, especially if the actions of the other child endangers the saftey of your child…. get to spankin’ (or what ever your preffered mode of discipline is….) especially if this is going on in YOUR HOUSE. Notify the other parent first that you don’t allow certain things, and then, enforce!

You can take your kid out of the situation. You can ask the parent, but good luck with that. Very few actually parent anymore, thinking they might actually damage their "self esteem". What a load of crap that is. If the parents won't parent, take your kid away.

I would tell the child to stop it. If the parent isn’t doing it and your child is being hurt, you have every right to tell that child to stop…in fact, I’ve done it before and would do it again!
