see..we do use algebra outside of school…i always hear someone complaining that we wont use that kind of math outside of school..but here i am pulling out a piece of paper and pencil to solve the equation lol!
@tomc124578 Ummmmmmm, no. -8/11=x is definitely the correct answer. x=12x+8 is the equation, -8 from both sides, becomes x-8=12x. -x from both sides, becomes -8=11x. Divide both sides by 11, becomes -8/11=x. Check it in vertical style:
x=12x+8
x-8=12x
-8=12x-x
-8=11x
-8/11=x
I’m not even sure why I’m doing this. In about a week, new posters will start posting about why they think the guy did it wrong and we’ll be back at square one.
@TRICKYLEE4095 He solved it, bro. There are two xs and they’re both positive, so when you get them on the same side it’s -11x, then both sides are divided by -11, getting x = -8/11. Who’s the nerd now? :3

What’s awesome is that if you re-watch it, you’ll see that he totally solves the equation wrong. What a nerd, amirite? Amirite? I have friends… I really do…
