I'm doing my paper on how the lack of discipline in children has affected society. Like how children were spanked in public schools back in the day but now spanking is considered child abuse. I want to see if the lack of discipline has anything to do with people becoming more lazy or why so many children disrespect adults now. That kind of stuff. So if you have any good websites I could visit I would really appreciate you listing them.
lol. Well, just ask some questions on the topic of spanking right here and see how many parents answer by saying that they won't spank and don't care if their children run wild because they're 'just being kids'.

Unfortunately research actually shows the opposite of your position. That coinciding with the decline of corporal punishment in schools we had less kids doing drugs, less juviniile crime, and more kids going to college. Indeed, more kids than ever before now volunteer and continue their education into college. So much for being lazier. When you compare school districts that use corporal punishment to those that don't you find these same trends. Districts that use corporal punishment have higher drop out rates, lower standardized test scores, and lower graduation rates.
The whole idea that the kids of today are so much more troublesome and disrespectful than they used to be is utter nonsense. I'm afraid that the only sources you'll be able to find for your paper are heavily biased, untrustworthy sources such as neo-con and evangelical Christian websites.
