spanking..parents are too easy on their kids today and that’s why they turn out pretty bad. kids should be able to lean on and trust their parents, but there should always be a little fear in that child of their parents so they’ll think twice before doing something they shouldn’t. people probably don’t agree with me but i know that my grandparents generation turned out way better than mine has and that’s why.

Taking away privileges. If that fails, then I’m a lousy parent.

Taking away privileges and spanking. I don’t go easy on them, that promotes tartism.

A variety and combination depending on offense. I spank rarely but it’s effective. We use time outs (in a corner), take away privileges, add chores and that’s about it.

My oldests are three. I dont really care for spanking bc when i did do that i would spank them and they would go off and do what they wanted, now i make them stand in a chair facing the wall for a couple mins then i talk t them about what they did wrong, I think it works BEST for my kids, not for evevry kid,

there is no one technique that works better….sometimes it’s simply having a variety and it also depends on age. I find that all kids pay attention when I make them re-do their action. If they stomp out of the room, I make them come back and walk properly. If they roll their eyes or talk in a sassy manner, I make them re-speak or fix their facial expression. The older kids (Teens) don’t get to do fun things and the grade schoolers sometimes have to write lines and also get privleges taken away. I also make sure to give praise when it is due, because sometimes simply praising them when they do something well without me asking first, praise is the best reinforcement. My kids behaved really well the other day at a day long party for their older brother and then sat still through his graduation and i made sure to let them know how proud I was of their good behavior.

Spanking works well on our 3… 13, 8 and 6. We rarely need to use it though because they know what the consequences are of poor actions.

i spank my son, because thats what works for him, and as my daughter is a very social person, i ground her.

Nothing works on me. My poor mother.
She rarely has to discipline me anyways, though. I know my limits and if I want to push them, I can usually get away with it.
