Most people are in fear of someone calling the police or the state on their children. Retribution or even hurting the child’s feelings.
Our form of punishment is unique. We don’t spank, do restrictions, time outs or corners. We wanted something productive that no one could ever use against us. Something that would benefit our children and they could see it as a benefit later. The best part about it is that our children, ages 11 and 14, don’t see it as punishment anymore. They actually do it on their own.

I don't like the idea of spanking a child for the fact, that children role play what they see going on around them. For example, my daughter, when she was less than a year old started smacking her lips together. I couldn't figure out where she had learned that from until one day I was getting ready to go to work, my husband was holding her and we were talking. When I looked in the mirror while applying my lipstick, after I rubbed my lips together, she did it. If they can imitate simple things like that, then whose to say if I were to spank her she wouldn't start hitting other kids, or adults. I don't want her to think that hitting is okay. Why is it right for mom or dad to hit them, but them not allowed to do it to anyone else?

well i resented my parent when they spanked me and i grew immune to them , i fear if i spank my girls, first they’ll hate me and then they just wont care and go right back to misbehaving because spankings and whoopings wont have have an effect on them.

It just seems like nowa days even a spanking is said to be abusive. Honestly, I think a lot of parents are afraid of how easy it is for the state to come in and take their kids.

Too many parent's want to be their child's friend instead of a parent. Kids have enough friends, but only 2 parents (Sometimes one parent). Some parents are also afraid of spanking their kids because they falsely believe that the police will arrest them. Spanking is NOT illegal. My friend is a cop and he told me that it is perfectly fine as long as it is on their butt and they are clothed. My son gets light swats and I NEVER have a problem with him throwing tantrums.
